Some random thoughts on a nice Friday morning...
First, If you've been following us on Twitter and Facebook (and you haven't, you REALLY SHOULD!), we've been featuring a series of great web articles on shooting sports by photographer Beth Wendland and this week, she goes over what shutter speeds to use. This is the third installment but don't worry, you catch up by clicking here and here. This is the sort of info we go over in our "Action & Sports Photography" class we give quarterly (next time will be in February 2014), but in the meanwhile, these articles are helpful and of course, we'll be happy to to help you in the store as well.
Speaking of sports, If you read this blog regularly, you know that it is written by an avid New York Yankee fan. Even so, yours truly has a heart as well & cannot help but be moved by the behind the scenes story of the cover photo on this week's Sport Illustrated, taken by Fairfield County's own Joe McNally. It features 3 Boston police officers previously featured on SI's cover when the magazine covered the Boston Marathon attack & a certain Red Sox who had what many called the best individual post-season performance ever (ARRGH!).
