Expand your creative playground with the Nikon Z5.

Push the limits of your creativity with Z 5, an innovative full-frame mirrorless camera built around Nikon’s revolutionary Z mount. Compact yet powerful, simple yet sophisticated, it’s ready to grow with you. Whatever your skill level, the Z 5 delivers detailed imagery, precision autofocus, and the tools you need to be as creative as possible.

The full picture

Harness the entire view of expansive full-frame lenses, and capture over 50% more image area than crop-sensor cameras. Z 5’s 24.3 MP full-frame CMOS sensor produces intensively detailed images, lifelike 4K UHD video, ultra-shallow depth-of-field, and particularly clean low-light shots.

Superpowered

Z 5 is powered by Nikon’s fast, comprehensive EXPEED 6 image processing system. It’s the secret behind the camera’s sensational photo and video quality, autofocus performance, low-light capabilities, distortion control, image clarity, color reproduction, and more.

The stability you crave

Sharpness starts with stability, and Z 5 has one of the best in-camera image stabilization systems available. NIKKOR Z lenses activate 5-axis VR image stabilization—up to five stops* of stabilization in up to five directions: yaw, pitch, roll, X, and Y. Compatible F-Mount NIKKOR lenses**—even those without built-in VR—activate 3-axis VR image stabilization. Great for stills, even better for video.

In the blink of an iris

Freeze time with shutter speeds as fast as 1/8000 of a second—fast enough to capture moments invisible to the naked eye. When shooting with wide aperture settings for shallow depth-of-field and blurred backgrounds, that speed can also be used to control your shot’s brightness.

Right. In any light.

Creativity doesn’t wait for perfect lighting, so neither does Z 5. Its ISO sensitivity goes all the way up to ISO 51,200 (expandable to ISO 102,400) with superb sharpness, detail, and clarity. Keep shooting into the night, and bring a new mood to your style with the drama of low light.

Fully automatic. Totally manual.

Sometimes you need to just point and shoot. Other times you want to fine-tune every little detail. Z 5 is up for either challenge, going from fully automatic to totally manual with the turn of a dial.

Go quiet.

In can’t miss moments—like weddings, speeches or performances—turn on Silent Mode and capture photo after photo without drawing any attention. This is also great for photographing pets and wildlife.

The eyes say it all.

Great portraits put the focus on the eyes. Z 5’s powerful Eye-Detection Autofocus quickly finds your subject’s eyes—humans, cats, and dogs alike—and puts them in sharp focus. It even follows them as they move behind objects in the frame.

Focus anywhere.

Z 5’s sensor is practically covered in focus points—273 of them, to be precise. That means wherever your subject is within the frame, there’s almost certainly a focus point locked on them.

Two for the road.

Z 5 includes dual UHS-II SD card slots. Use them together for overflow storage, automatic back up, or separating file types like RAW and JPEG or stills and videos.

You see it. You get it.

See your shot clearly through Z 5’s outstanding electronic viewfinder. It activates when you put your eye to it, offering a high-resolution glare-free view of how your shot will actually look—exposure, ISO, white balance and Picture Controls are all visible in realtime.

Tweak. Shoot. Create.

Add another element of uniqueness and artistry to your photos and videos with 20 Creative Picture Controls, all visible in real-time while you shoot, either through the viewfinder or on the tilting touchscreen display.

Multiply your vision.

Combine multiple photos into one radical creation. This can be done in real-time by composing and combining consecutive shots, or it can be done later by previewing and combining shots you already took.

Shift your focus.

Focus Shift Shooting Mode automatically takes a series of images (up to 300) while advancing the focus position in each shot. These images can then be stacked* into a single image with a surreal depth of field—great for shooting jewelry, products, landscapes, and still subjects.

Your entry to video.

Z 5 records beautiful videos. Shoot 4K Ultra HD footage using all the advantages of mirrorless technology and the Z system’s high-performance optics.

  • 231 point phase-detect autofocus
  • 4K UHD/30p
  • 1080/60p
  • Optical VR image stabilization and electronic Vibration Reduction
  • Creative Picture Controls
  • Focus Peaking
  • Capture stills while recording

Timelapse made easy.

Z 5 makes it easy to create beautiful timelapse movies. Set up Z 5 on a tripod or stable surface, compose your shot, set your time interval and number of shots and let the camera do the rest. You can simultaneously create your timelapse movie in-camera and save the full resolution stills. And for longer shoots, power Z 5 with the optional USB Type C cable (UC-E25) and any compatible power bank.

NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens

Nikon Z series has redefined expectations on so many levels, it's no surprise the traditional kit lens is next. Meet the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3, a full-frame, a conventional kit lens with unconventional performance. Easy to carry, an absolute thrill to shoot, it covers the sweet spot of the focal length range: 24mm to 50mm. And it does so with clarity, consistency, and brightness that's all Z.

Street Ready

When not in use, the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 retracts into itself and is just 51mm long. It's wonderfully balanced on Z series cameras and is also extensively weather-sealed against dust and moisture, making it ideal as a walk around, do-anything lens.

Edge-to-Edge Brightness

Taking advantage of the Z mount, the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3's large rear element delivers ample light all the way to the edges of a full-frame sensor. This makes for bright, even images with exceptional sharpness.

High Contrast, Low Distortion

Three Aspherical lens elements (AS) minimize coma and other types of distortion, especially aberrations caused by shooting at wide apertures. Two Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass elements reduce color defects and glare for sharper, clearer images with great contrast.

Near Silent

The NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 uses a fast, quiet stepping motor for autofocusing and diaphragm control, ensuring camera noises never disturb a moment or ruin a video.

Solid Design

The NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 is designed to optimize dust- and drip-resistant performance — with a sealing that prevents dust and water droplets from entering the lens.

Nikon Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR lens

Capture the world with the new Nikon Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR lens. This versatile, lightweight zoom weighs in at just over one pound and was built for travel. From exquisite wide-angle landscapes to incredibly detailed close-ups, this lens delivers unbelievable resolution and impressive clarity. Two Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements, two aspherical elements, and one aspherical ED element paired with Nikon’s proprietary Super Integrated Coating system ensures minimal distortion, even at its longest 200mm reach. A smooth, silent stepping motor, up to 5 stops of built-in optical Vibration Reduction (VR), advanced autofocusing, and subject tracking make this lens absolutely ideal for video, and a customizable control ring provides added easy access to frequently used camera settings.

Designed for the road

Featuring 19 elements in 15 groups, the Nikon Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR lens remains surprisingly compact and lightweight, at only 1.2 pounds (570 g). A versatile piece of equipment with a broad zoom range, this lens maintains a bright maximum aperture of f/4 throughout the zoom range, adapting easily from landscapes and architecture to portraits and street photography.

Accurate color, clear imagery

Two Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements in the Nikon Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 lens help minimize chromatic aberrations and color fringing, increasing color accuracy. Two aspherical elements and one aspherical ED element work together to help reduce distortion, improving overall image clarity. Nikon’s Super Integrating Coating on lens elements features a Nano Crystal Coat and ARNEO Coat to help eliminate incidental light that can cause unwanted ghosting, reflections, and flare, as well as Fluorine Coat, Nikon’s proprietary dust, dirt, and moisture repellant.

Shoot steady videos and stills

Built-in optical Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization in the Nikon Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 lens is effective to 5 stops, ensuring extraordinarily sharp imagery when shooting handheld. When paired with the 5 Axis In-Body VR (IBIS) of Nikon’s full-frame Z Series cameras, image stabilization is even further enhanced.
