The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z1200 Digital Camera boasts an incredible resolution of 12.1 megapixels. It has a 3x optical zoom lens, in an ultra-slim digital camera with an all-metal exterior casing for a beautiful look and superb durability.

With such super high-resolution, you'll be able to reproduce crystal-clear images, even in very large print sizes. The camera also incorporates CCD-shift image stabilization and the latest Exilim Engine 2.0 image processing module with motion analysis technology. These innovative features work together to help prevent blurry shots due to shaky hands, subject movement, or poor focus when photographing moving subjects such as children or pets.

In addition, the auto-tracking AF system now combines both face detection and motion analysis technologies - so once the focus is locked in, the camera automatically tracks a moving subject's face, maintaining both sharp focus and correct exposure.

The EX-Z1200 is extremely versatile with 33 Best-Shot Scene modes, in-camera image editing, a comprehensive video recording feature that can record videos in Wide-format, and responsive image capture. There are even manual exposure capabilities available if you wish to apply greater creative control to your picture taking.

Though small enough to be held in the palm of the hand, the camera incorporates an impressively large 2.8-inch, Wide and Bright LCD display. This high-resolution, 230,400 pixel LCD displays images and data with outstanding clarity and fine detail and makes viewing under any light condition incredibly easy.

Transferring images to your PC and making prints is a very simple process thanks to the included USB cradle. Simply pop the camera into the cradle and you can transfer files to your PC quickly and easily. You can also present your images on a television screen thanks to the video output on the cradle or see your favorite images displayed right on the camera's large LCD display.

The USB cradle also charges the camera's batteries so your EX-Z1200 is always ready to shoot.

Auto-tracking AF
The Auto-tracking AF system maintains both sharp focus and correct exposure for a human face using both face detection and motion analysis technologies. With this revolutionary new system, once the focus is locked in, the camera follows a moving subject's face, maintaining both sharp focus and correct exposure.
Dual Image Stabilization
The Camera incorporates two distinctive image stabilization technologies into one. The CCD-shift image stabilization mechanism uses a gyro sensor to track the movement of the camera and automatically compensates for it by moving the image sensor so blurriness caused by camera movement is minimized or even eliminated. The Anti Shake DSP electronic image stabilizer reduces the risk of blurred photos due to either camera movement or from subject movement by simultaneously optimizing shutter speed and ISO settings.
Very Bright 2.8" Wide Screen TFT Color Display
The EX-Z1200 is equipped with an extremely bright and wide 2.8-inch TFT color display. It has a fine resolution of 230,400 pixels and is much brighter than average so you can easily view your photos - even in extremely strong sunlight. And so that you have the best view in every situation, the brightness adjusts to the respective lighting conditions if required.
Three Photo Formats
You can choose between a 3:2, 4:3 and 16:9 format images. That is particularly practical if you will be showing your pictures on a screen, television or video projector. The 3:2 format is the classic format for photos, while the 4:3 format makes it easier to view images on the TV or on your PC. The 16:9 format is best suited to plasma and LCD-televisions that use the HDTV Format.
Rapid Flash
With the Rapid Flash function, three photos are taken with flash in the space of just one second, ensuring that you no longer miss those wonderful moments.
High-speed Image Capture
If you keep the shutter release pressed, the EX-Z1200 takes a photo every 1.6 seconds, and the number of photos is only limited by the size of your memory card. The camera also has a High-speed Continuous mode that can take pictures at a rate of 3 fps at a resolution of 3 megapixels (flash off)
BestShot Scene Modes
the EX-Z1200 provides 38 Best Shot Scene Modes including Art Shot, ID photo, Business Shot, and the exclusive eBay Best Shot mode. Simply select the sample scene that resembles the type of image you are trying to record, and the camera is configured automatically with the applicable recording mode, Auto Focus setting, and more. All you need to do is press the shutter button for a perfect image. There are also various Movie BestShot scenes and an option for saving your own settings as a scene mode.
Time Stamp and Date Editor Function
The Time Stamp function enables you to give your photos a "timestamp" so that you can always see at first glance when you took the photo. The date editor function lets users easily adjust the date and time recorded with the image after the photo has been taken - great if the camera time was not set properly when you were shooting.
Movie Mode and Audio Record
Record a movie with sound in widescreen or standard formats or record low-resolution video for distribution on the internet. The camera can also capture an audio snapshot (with audio recorded at the same time as the image or added later), and there is also a Voice Recorder feature.
Impressive Life Battery
Thanks to the latest technologies, the EX-Z1200 uses much less energy than earlier camera models, and the extremely powerful Super Life Battery that is included with the camera means the camera is always ready for use at that decisive moment.
In-Camera Image Adjustment
With Re-Size/Trimming you can change the size of the picture already in the camera and sections of a picture can be saved as its own shot. In this way, you can, for example, cut out only the face of a person and have it printed as a photo without using a computer or complicated software. With Picture rotating, pictures taken in a portrait format can be manually rotated for playback in landscape format. Now you don't have to turn the camera or your head in order to look at the picture.
USB Cradle Included
The Included USB Cradle is a flexible solution for a range of functions - such as the USB 2.0 Full-Speed connection to a computer, photo printer or battery charge. Thanks to the AV-connection, you can connect your EX-Z100 simply and easily to a television set and present both photos and movies in large format on the screen. The Photo Stand function lets you use your camera like a digital picture frame - you can run your saved pictures across the screen like a slide show.
Direct Print Capable
You can connect the EX-Z1200 directly to various printers and have your pictures in your hand shortly afterward printed on photo paper. USB Direct Print is standard on most Epson printers and PictBridge lets you connect your camera to different manufacturers' printers.
