As you can tell by now, the holidays are here - a time to celebrate and count our blessings with friends and family. And a time as well to remember those less fortunate. Beyond the laughter, the turkey and the trimmings, there is a silence for so many in our community. Laughter stilled by poverty and hunger, silenced by emptiness and loss of hope. The economy has caused so many of our neighbors to be unemployed and has changed their lives. These individuals and their families are feeling less secure about today and their future. Hunger knows no season. It feels no joy. That's why are partnering with The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County to collect non perishable food for our neighbors in need this holiday season.Thousands of families struggle with hunger and need our support, especially during the holiday season.
