Details: Graduated Neutral Density filters compensate for bright light over half the photo. Unlike half-color filters, graduated filters have no harsh center line and can be undetectable. By under-exposing a portion of a scene with neutral density (like the sky), the filter gives a better relief to the surfaces and colors of landscapes and architecure. They are indispensable in summer, for seaside and mountain photos.
