The AF Zoom-Nikkor is a high-performance telephoto lens with a focal length range of 80-200mm and 2.5x zoom that helps to create bright, sharp images and blurred backgrounds thanks to its widest aperture of f/2.8 and Extra-Low Dispersion glass delivering maximum light throughout the entire zoom range to the camera's sensor - even in low-light situations. it's not an “AF-S” or equivalent lens. AF is done via a drive pin in the body.
It will not auto-focus on cameras that will only autofocus with w/an AF-S lens
