The Hasselblad 40679 is a lens mounting ring designed for Bay 50 (B50) lenses. This adapter is a vital accessory for photographers using Hasselblad V system lenses, allowing the attachment of professional lens shades while also accommodating drop-in square filters.

Functionality-wise, it mounts securely to the front of Hasselblad C lenses that have Bay 50 filter mounts. Its purpose-built for use with the Hasselblad Professional Lens Shade 50-70 (40676).

In addition, this ring has an incorporated filter holder. The ring includes a slot specifically designed to accommodate drop-in square filters, providing photographers with increased flexibility and control over their shots.
