We have a winner for our "Photo Mount Rushmore" contest! If you remember, we asked that you send us your list of photographers that would go up as a "Mount Rushmore " of the best of all time. And our winner is....Chip Paris of Riverside, CT who eloquently listed the following :

Ansel Adams for photographing natures at its best.

Edward Weston for photographing the human body at its best.

Philippe Halsman for his Amazing Photographs of Famous Celebrities and Salvatore Dali.

and Steve McCurry for his capturing of the human spirit.

Other photographers mentioned included Richard Avedon, Henri Cartier-Bresson, The Capa Brothers, Alfred Steiglitz, Diane Arbus and Elliott Erwitt. And that only scratches the surface of the many who shaped the landscape of photography over the last century and a half.

Our congratulations to Chip, who receives a free pass to our Hands-On Macro Workshop on March 23rd at the Italian Center of Stamford. There are only 8 spaces available for our afternoon session (2-4:30 PM) so contact us if you'd like to join us!

Join us on Thursday night (3/20) for our "Beyond The Basics" photo class - 6PM at the rear of the store!
