Just want to make you aware of a wonderful opportunity this weekend to take great photographs in a beautiful locale, meet & learn from other like minded photographers and speak to a pro photographer along the way. Sounds good? Then join the local "Worldwide Photowalk" at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport this Saturday (7/24) from 9AM to 12 Noon. The 3rd annual photowalk (started by photographer & Photoshop wiz Scott Kelby) will be taking place in over 1,000 locations worldwide this year with over 30,000 photographers participating. The Westport walk will be led by professional photographer (and CWS friend) Phil Scott & will take advantage of the scenic locales of Sherwood Island, which includes in Phil's words, " 2 big beaches, Connecticut’s State 9/11 Memorial, a remote control airport, woods, Long Island Sound & a nature preserve with bird watch sites for you long lens people".  After the walk, everyone will meet at The Snack Bar at Sherwood Island State Park to share & discuss. There's no fee to join the walk (in other words, it's FREE!) but you do need to preregister. There's a limit of 50 photographers per walk & as of this morning (7/22), there are 13 spots left.
